The TECSOL Philosophy
TECSOL stands for The Education and Career Solutions Laboratory. The name reflects how we approach our work. Complex system challenges require thoughtful exploration, collaboration, and sometimes practical experimentation. Like a laboratory, TECSOL helps organizations examine the elements of their systems, test ideas, and design solutions that work in real environments.
The Founder
Every system has a story. We help you shape the next chapter.
I didn’t come to this work through theory alone. I came to it through life.
My first lessons about work started at 15. Not in a classroom—but in responsibility, expectations, and showing up. Later, I chased a music career and learned what it means to take risks, face uncertainty, and make hard decisions about the future. That chapter didn’t unfold the way I once imagined—but it taught me discipline, creativity, and resilience in ways no formal system ever could.
From there, my path led me into education and workforce systems, where I’ve spent decades working alongside institutions, agencies, and communities to design pathways that connect people to opportunity. At the same time, my role as a mentor, a servant-leader in my community, and an ordained Elder has grounded me in something deeper—the responsibility to serve, guide, and invest in others.
What I’ve come to understand is this: skills are not just taught—they are lived.
They are built through experience—through work, through failure, through growth, through purpose. But too often, our systems fail to recognize that. They overlook the full story of how people develop, how they learn, and how they move forward.
TECSOL was founded to change that.
This is not traditional consulting. In fact, we are not consultants but strategic advisors working within a solutions laboratory environment. This is a different approach—one that starts by understanding the story your system is already telling.
Because every policy, every program, every partnership, and every decision reflects something deeper. It reflects what we value. It reflects what we prioritize. It reflects who has access—and who does not.
At TECSOL, we help you see that clearly. Then we work with you to shape what comes next—by translating lived experience into opportunity and building pathways that lead to livable wages and long-term economic mobility. This is more than strategy. This is about alignment—between experience, systems, and outcomes.
TECSOL is not just something I built. It is something I’ve lived...And that’s why the work is different.
