EXPERIENCE
Experience That Shapes Systems
This work reflects decades of experience operating within and alongside education, workforce, and policy systems—where strategy, implementation, and collaboration intersect to move ideas into action.
Across state and national efforts, this body of work has focused on designing and advancing systems that connect learning to opportunity. These efforts have brought together agencies, institutions, and partners to align policy, funding, and practice in ways that support stronger outcomes for learners and communities.
The work has included guiding large-scale initiatives, supporting cross-sector collaboration, and helping leaders translate complex requirements into coordinated strategies that are both practical and sustainable. Whether operating at the state level, across national initiatives, or within regional partnerships, the focus has remained consistent: strengthening how systems function so they can better serve the people within them.
This is not work done in isolation—it is work shaped through collaboration, shared ownership, and a commitment to long-term impact.
The experience below reflects four interconnected areas of work—each representing a different lens into how systems are shaped, aligned, and advanced.
State Leadership
This work reflects leadership within complex statewide systems—where policy, funding, institutions, and workforce needs intersect. Across these efforts, initiatives involved collaboration with state agencies, community colleges, universities, and career technical centers to design and implement aligned education-to-workforce strategies.
These efforts included overseeing large-scale federal and state investments, strengthening accountability systems, advancing credential pathways, and supporting institutions in translating policy into practice. The work required aligning multiple stakeholders around a shared vision while navigating legislative requirements, performance expectations, and regional needs.
The result is not just program implementation—but system-level change that improves access, outcomes, and long-term economic mobility.
National Advisory Work
This work spans national initiatives focused on strengthening education and workforce systems across states and regions. Engagements have included partnerships with federal agencies, national organizations, and state leaders to co-develop strategies, technical assistance models, and implementation frameworks.
Across these efforts, work has supported multi-state initiatives, national convenings, and large-scale technical assistance strategies designed to translate federal policy into actionable systems change. This includes collaboration with partners to design tools, facilitate peer learning, and guide cross-state implementation efforts.
The focus is not just advising—but helping systems move from policy to practice in ways that are scalable, aligned, and sustainable.
Cross-Sector Partnerships
Lasting systems change requires alignment across education, workforce, and industry. This work reflects the development of partnerships that bring together K–12 systems, postsecondary institutions, workforce boards, employers, and community organizations to design cohesive pathways for learners.
These efforts have included building regional and statewide coalitions, aligning funding streams, coordinating program design, and facilitating shared accountability across partners with different priorities and roles.
Importantly, this work has also involved strengthening internal cross-sector collaboration within institutions and agencies—bridging silos across departments to support more integrated and effective approaches to student success.
The outcome is a more connected system—where partnerships are not transactional, but structured for long-term impact.
Thought Leadership
This work reflects ongoing contributions to national conversations on career pathways, education policy, and workforce alignment. Through keynote presentations, national convenings, and published resources, these efforts help shape how leaders think about designing systems that better serve learners and communities.
Contributions have included developing frameworks, facilitating working sessions, and providing insight to state agencies, national organizations, and local leaders navigating complex challenges in education and workforce systems.
What we do is grounded in real-world implementation—ensuring that ideas are not only innovative, but actionable within the systems leaders are working to improve.
